KI Convention Center Expansion
Set for completion in August of 2015, Miron has been awarded the KI Convention Center expansion project, which will play a vital role in Green Bay planners’ goal to attract new business and convention customers to Main Street.
Miron’s contract for just under $17.8 million is part of a $23 million project to add much needed space to the convention center, to service larger groups of clientele. A portion of the expansion will include 14-foot, 6-inch clearance above Adams Street, with another section above the adjacent Clarion Hotel parking lot, bringing the total addition to 30,000 square feet. This will expand the total KI meeting space to 75,000 square feet, with the entire convention center coming in at 145,000 square feet.
The Miron team is excited to partner with city planners to build a facility that the entire community will benefit from and be able to utilize. Events are already scheduled to take place shortly after the August deadline, making Miron’s expertise in efficiency a must for this project.
