Miron begins renovations on YMCA with groundbreaking ceremony

An official groundbreaking was held Aug. 23 to mark the beginning of a nearly $16 million expansion and remodel project to the Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA. The renovation, managed by Miron Construction, will include a new state-of-the-art healthy living (fitness) center, youth center with licensed child care and after school care, a multi-sports complex, welcome center, member lounge and multi-generational community room with teaching kitchen. The Y also plans to partner with Marshfield Clinic Health System to offer the Youth Net after school program, as well as innovative community wellness programs. Additional space will allow a partnership with Wood County Head Start, providing support to families and giving children the critical early learning foundations to prepare them for school.
