Project Description:

Eleanor Roosevelt Middle School, the first new school built for the Dubuque Community School District in 30 years, opened in August of 2005 with a population of more than 1,100 students.

The school is based on a three-house concept for sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. There are three “houses” for each grade level, each consisting of approximately 12 students.

The school includes lecture/lab science classrooms, state-of-the-art technology labs, an 835-seat auditorium, outdoor classroom opportunities, geothermal-based heating and air conditioning, music rooms, and a communications studio.
