Architect / Engineer: CH2M Hill

Project Description:

The purpose of this project is to remove PCB (polychlorinated biphenyls) contaminated sediment from Little Lake Butte des Morts. Miron was responsible for site work, construction of the building, mechanical and electrical work, and coordination and installation of tanks and pumps that are housed in the facility. This project is the first remediation work on this section of the lower Fox River, which runs from Lake Winnebago on the south end, to the bay of Green Bay on the north end. While this work is taking place in Little Lake Butte des Morts, the furthest upstream section of the lower Fox River, it is anticipated that additional remediation work will occur on the downstream portion in the near future.
