Project Description:

CitizensFirst Credit Union’s new corporate office is the first LEED® Certified credit union corporate office in the State of Wisconsin, incorporating green components such as optimized energy performance, reduced water use, innovative wastewater technologies, use of recycled and regional materials, use of rapidly renewable materials and FSC certified wood. Mandatory recycling took place during construction, and 75% of construction waste was diverted from landfills. In addition to the new corporate office building, the adjacent branch was renovated to better serve members’ needs with new technologies, improved service areas, a state-of-the-art member education resource center, and a children’s play area.

Building Information Modeling (BIM) was used to simulate construction traffic flow around the site to verify site logistics pertaining to customer and employee site safety. The BIM model was also used to perform real-time walk-throughs and generate still renderings to validate the design.
