Project Description:

This 183,520 square-foot facility was designed to serve 900 6-8th grade students in a modern middle school environment. The design committee wanted a solution different from the District’s other five middle schools. Each grade has three team pods, which include math, language arts, social studies, and science classrooms clustered around a resource center. Each grade is self-contained for the core academics and includes lockers, restrooms, computer labs, and special education rooms in each house. The Encore courses, F&CE, Foreign Language, Tech. Ed., and Art, are located in a separate house.

“[We have] a beautiful and highly functional facility delivered on schedule and under budget. Overall, this was a very successful project and Miron was a significant reason behind the success.”

Patrick M. Finnemore, Director of Facilities
Kenosha Unified School District
