Owner: Reedsville School District
Size: 13,429 SF addition / 77,491 SF remodel
Completion: August 2010
Architect / Engineer: Bray Associates Architects, Inc.

Project Description:

The project consists of an addition, reconfiguration of existing space, and remodeling of the entire building. Updates include new HVAC, electrical, data and plumbing systems, and modifications for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The new space will house an updated technology education department featuring a “module lab” for hands-on plumbing, robotics, wiring and small engine repair, a woodshop, and print center with computer-aided drafting and screen-printing. The addition also includes a new choir room, office and practice rooms.

Renovated or relocated spaces include a new art room, agriculture and family/consumer education (which now includes a full commercial kitchen), a new project room for hands-on subjects, facilities for students with severe cognitive disabilities, a computer lab adjacent to the library, and a multipurpose room available for club and community meetings.

Security upgrades were made to the front entrance as well as the installation of security cameras throughout the site.

“Since the beginning, there has been a high degree of care, commitment, and a high quality work ethic from everyone on the Miron team. They go out of their way to keep work moving forward and at the same time, respecting the fact that we have instruction in progress. They continually ask about noise, dust, and equipment and are diligent in keeping the hallways clear of equipment and mess... Again, my compliments to the entire Miron team on the outstanding job thus far on our project.”
