Owner: Village of Hortonville
Size: 800 SF
Completion: March 2011
Architect / Engineer: McMahon Group

Project Description:

The previous Hortonville Wastewater Treatment Facility was constructed in 1982. Many of the facility’s components had become outdated or were at the end of their service life. A new Headworks Building was constructed as part of the facility upgrade. The lower level of the Headworks Building contains a new wet well and influent pumping system.

This system is comprised of three non-clog centrifugal pumps rated at 650 gpm each. The pumps are controlled by variable frequency drives (VFD) that allow the pumps to operate efficiently by matching the incoming flow from the Village’s collection system.

The Headworks Building also houses the influent screening and grit removal systems, WAS pumps, SBR controls, and motor controls centers.
