Project Description:

The courtyard building is a three-story structure, with a full basement, attached to the Van Buren Street wing by a skywalk. This building is designed to add floors for future expansion.

The first floor defines the front entrance to the hospital. A covered drive-up area allows patients and visitors easy access to all hospital facilities. A retail pharmacy, gift shop, coffee service, and other ancillary amenities are incorporated into a central lobby and waiting area.

The second floor is a 26-bed inpatient medical surgical unit, with the third floor devoted to obstetrics. All patient rooms in the new construction are private, single patient occupancy. The rooms are large enough to accommodate a family member staying overnight when necessary.

The basement space offers expanded outpatient imaging and laboratory services, with some space left unfinished for future use.
