Project Description:

The Acuity Technology Center houses the new campus library, study rooms, and new computerized and distance education classrooms, including:

  • New, state-of-the-art library facility, featuring wireless network access, seating for 86, and lounge seating.
  • Six small group study rooms (seating for 6 to 8) inside library, complete with AV and technology equipment.
  • 36-station computer research/instructional classroom and lab and 13 fixed online research stations in main library.
  • New office space for library and IT staff.
  • One Wisline Web and two compressed video distance education classrooms.
  • New 32-station computer classroom.
  • Two new conference rooms, equipped with the latest communication technology.
  • Full handicapped accessibility, including a new elevator.

In addition, the building project included the complete remodeling and renovation of 20,000 square feet of existing space in the Learning Resources Building.
