Project Description:

The 90,700 square-foot facility houses the Genome Center and the Laboratory of Genetics that were located in the old Genetics Building. The Lab houses four major research programs and administrative, teaching, and outreach activities. Tight site conditions necessitated detailed scheduling and coordination of supplies and subcontractors. The project was completed 17 days ahead of schedule.

  • 5-story poured-in-place concrete
  • Brick and precast veneer
  • Over 200 rooms, primarily Bio laboratories
  • Vivarium (animal suite) in the basement
