Project Description:

This 24,346 square-foot project includes a new classroom and gymnasium addition to the existing Hemlock Creek Elementary School building. Construction is load-bearing masonry in all locations except the gymnasium, which has precast wall panels. In anticipation of future upward expansion, all roof areas except the gymnasium are precast plank; the gymnasium is joist and deck roof. Site work on this project includes a new parking lot with asphalt pavement, site utilities, and landscaping.

Miron completed the original elementary school in 2007. Further growth necessitated this addition to the existing 106,000 square-foot elementary facility. Hemlock Creek eases crowding at the district’s other elementary school and allows West De Pere Middle School, which served students in grades 5-8 in the past, to maintain its 6-8 grade format.
