Miron Construction Co., Inc., in partnership with Mead & Hunt, Inc., is building a new car rental facility for Appleton International Airport (ATW) in Appleton, Wisconsin. The $3.2 million project began on June 13 and is scheduled to be complete in December 2016.

Miron’s work on the 6,800-square-foot project, modeled after the ATW Platinum Flight Center, will feature exposed ceilings with intricate wooden decking and wrapped beams, stone and metal exterior siding and polished concrete floors. The main lobby will also contain a skylight that will provide extensive natural lighting.

When completed, the facility will be located in the existing rental car parking lot and will house rental car companies that are contracted with ATW. The existing car rental parking lot will also be reconstructed and repaved during the project.
