Project Overview

With record participation in co-curricular activities, and an ongoing focus on physical fitness and wellness, the District invested in an all-weather facility to meet changing student and community needs.

The addition to the High School provides an indoor facility with a 55-foot ceiling plus a new weight room to serve as instructional and training space for school and community activities including: physical education, soccer, football, baseball, track, strength training, softball, golf, speed/agility, AP testing, band, and a new lacrosse program.

The new space offers increased access to appropriate facilities for basketball, wrestling, dance, volleyball, soccer, and more than 30 lifetime fitness and strength classes offered at KHS, and allows for new offerings like the lacrosse program. An additional 1,800 youth in the community also use District facilities.
