Project Overview

Miron completed substructure and superstructure work on this project. Specifically, Miron was responsible for concrete substructures for cooling towers, tank farm, and boiler feed pumps. During construction, Miron completed six concrete pours of over 1,000 yards each, and six additional concrete pours of over 300 yards each.

The Emery Generating Station is a 565-megawatt combined-cycle natural-gas-fired plant. The plant is a flexible intermediate load facility designed to provide power to customers during higher demand periods of the work week and at times of peak demand when customer demand is the greatest or when the regional or national power grid is susceptible to outages.
