Safety

Overview

A Legacy of Protecting People and Projects

Miron has built a reputation for providing clients with safe, quality construction regardless of project size and complexity. We take the time to understand the needs of your project, so our construction teams are properly trained and equipped to complete the task at hand.

SQP: Safety, Quality, Production

We follow a philosophy of SQP: Safety, Quality, Production. This integrated approach guides our daily decisions and work, ensuring project-wide accountability in all three categories.

By focusing on these three areas, we ensure that everyone is aware of—and feels responsible for—safety and proactively plans for potential hazards, quality expectations, and production goals.

Safety

Employees are given the tools and knowledge they need to ensure safety on our project sites, beginning with pre-shift stretching and pre-task planning. We identify safety considerations and potential risks, then investigate options to proactively solve issues.

Quality

To ensure that the job is done right, quality expectations are identified and communicated to the workforce. Employees are encouraged to measure themselves regularly and ask, “How did we do today?”

Production

Achievable production goals are set and communicated to ensure everyone is rallying together to achieve a common objective.

Safety in Practice

Safe work practices are built into our daily routines, on-site decisions, and how we hold ourselves accountable.

Training

Our teams receive the most comprehensive safety training in the industry, including a 192-hour OSHAcademy Construction Safety and Health program, which ensures our employees possess the knowledge and tools to identify and eliminate unsafe acts and conditions.

Protocols

From site-specific safety plans developed by risk control managers to safety helmet and PPE requirements, our protocols help prevent injuries and keep everyone on-site safe. Our holistic risk management program covers health, safety, and environmental procedures and processes.

Inspections

On-site safety management and regular inspections ensure every project stays accountable to the standards we set with project-wide responsibility, not just oversight from the top.

Continuous Improvement

The industry is constantly changing, and our team is focused on staying ahead of the curve. From daily Excellence Huddles where we proactively plan tasks and address potential risks to regular training opportunities, we keep building on our knowledge and skills.
