Project Overview
Skyward, an educational software developer, was outgrowing its current facilities in Stevens Point. Needing additional space, and wanting to consolidate its two local offices under one roof, the company made the decision to construct a new, state-of-the-art headquarters in the Portage County Business Park. The multi-story facility offers approximately 200,000 square feet of space designed to be efficient to Skyward’s workflow and management style.
Miron was hired as the construction manager for the new four-story corporate office building. The facility includes a 24-stall underground parking garage, an on-site medical clinic, and large locker rooms to accommodate employees who bike to work or exercise on the adjacent recreational trail system. The cafeteria area and adjacent employee patio overlook a 1.6 acre pond, which serves aesthetic purposes and provides on-site storm water detention. The facility, when completely full, will accommodate 862 employees. The building also houses 60 conference/WebX rooms, an 80-person training room, and on-site recording studio for assembling training material.
