Celebrating our 2026 Summer Interns

national internship 2025

We are delighted to spotlight our 2026 summer interns and the many contributions they have made throughout the summer! Each intern brings a unique set of talents, perspectives, and ideas to Team Miron. Their eagerness to learn, fresh outlooks, and dedication make a lasting impact that extends far beyond their internship experience. While they have gained valuable knowledge from their mentors and peers, they have also taught us something new every day, and for that we are thankful!

National Intern Day is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate all they do. Here is why we are grateful for our interns:

  • They arrive with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
  • They help us stay connected to industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • They bring fresh ideas and new perspectives.
  • Their contributions help make Miron’s internship program one of the best in the country, earning recognition on Employ Humanity’s Best Internship Program list for 2024 and 2025! Check it out here.

Let’s hear from some of them!

Elise Ketola, project management intern at Northern Michigan University’s Harden Hall | Junior at Northern Michigan University

My internship with Miron this summer has given me a great opportunity to learn the role of a project manager and see active construction sites with the superintendent. So far with the help of my mentors, I have been able to strengthen my knowledge, review RFIs and submittals, navigate Procore efficiently, create 360-degree videos of the project site, and improve my communication skills with other contractors.

What I enjoy most about working at Miron is the strong sense of community and the shared commitment to our core values. The company’s five core values are evident in the way people work and interact each day. Whether in the office or on a project site, interns are given meaningful opportunities to engage with the team and actively embody those values in their work.

As this is my first internship, it was important for me to join an organization where I could learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully while being surrounded by people who embody the values the company promotes. I felt that Miron Construction would provide the ideal environment to begin my professional career and grow both personally and professionally.

My internship has provided me with valuable insight into the responsibilities and challenges of being a project manager, while also helping me develop personally and professionally. One of the most impactful experiences has been learning to become more confident in my abilities and finding my voice within a professional setting.

Throughout my internship, I have gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in areas such as construction management, project coordination, commissioning, and client relations. In many ways, the practical lessons I have learned through this experience have expanded upon what I have learned in the classroom.

Since day one I have been given all the resources to succeed both in the field and in the office. Having a structure around this internship program is definitely a positive aspect; knowing that someone put in the time and effort to draw a path of every intern’s success makes it easy to succeed.

Everyone here is amazing at what they do and are a pleasure to work with. There’s this sense of unity, teamwork, and aspiration that makes you want to take on the biggest projects knowing that you have an army behind you.

I think if you are someone who strives for excellence and wakes up every day itching for a challenge, then this is the internship to get a taste of how that feels.

My internship has prepped me for real world experience in a few ways so far. The first is being on site every day looking at the plans that are being built right in front of me. A construction project is not something you can replicate perfectly in a classroom, so seeing it happen offers a lot of learning. The second way is familiarity with the different construction software that I’ll be using every day. In the classroom you can touch base and highlight a few things about each software you might use in construction, but nothing really gets you good at them like using them for hours a day, every day.

My favorite thing about working at Miron is the opportunities to learn. With Miron being such a large and well-rounded company, Miron offers the opportunity to learn in more aspects of the industry than I could even imagine.

Carter Dull, returning project management intern at Dane County Jail | Senior at University of Wisconsin-Platteville

Miron has done a great job opening my eyes to the world of project management and the type of work that I do day to day is on par with what my mentors are doing. I feel involved with everything that is going on at my project and have the opportunity to take some things into my own hands and build my skills as a project manager.

I can tell that my project team truly wants the best for me and they are dedicated to helping me be a part of everything I can this summer to build my knowledge of the industry and skills needed to be an effective project manager.

Miron really does a great job of throwing interns right into the mix and they have the flexibility in their program to accommodate all parts of the experience spectrum, from someone who has been in the industry for 5+ years to someone who has never stepped foot onto a project site before. All the mentors at Miron really strive to give their intern the best experience in every aspect of the job that they can.

My internship with Miron has prepped me for the real world by giving me knowledge and experience I cannot receive in class. Throughout my internship, I have been taught how to effectively complete daily tasks as a project manager, reiterating professional communication skills within these. Furthermore, I have gained on-site construction knowledge. By being able to look at processes and materials on site I have deepened my understanding within the project itself and construction.

I believe anyone who is seeking an internship in construction should consider Miron Construction. The internship program at Miron is extremely beneficial as it is well-rounded to fit every intern needs. Miron provides the necessary experiences to fit each intern’s goals by checking in throughout the summer to make sure the goals are being met. To me, Miron is a wonderful company that offers a successful internship that fits different needs and skill levels making it applicable to any seeking intern.
