Miron Construction Co., Inc. makes multiple hires at corporate headquarters

Neenah, Wis. – Miron Construction Co., Inc. recently hired three project managers, a quality control manager and an accounting professional for its corporate office.

Paul Duesterbeck is one of Miron’s newest project managers. Prior to joining the Miron team, Paul held the position of project/field engineer for an employee-owned, Missouri-based construction company servicing the public, private and industrial sectors. Paul is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Platteville and holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology management (building construction management emphasis) with a minor in business administration. Paul is both OSHA 10 Hour- and MSHA 24 Hour-certified and will use his six years of construction experience to assist him as he manages all aspects of construction projects, including, but not limited to, preliminary estimates, budgets, financial control, scheduling, coordination of construction activity, project close-out and owner occupancy.

Jared Olk will serve as project manager. Jared most recently served as a product specialist for turnkey and equipment relocations for a global supplier of technology and services for customers in the process industries, including mining, construction, pulp and paper, power, oil and gas. Jared holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology (with an emphasis in building construction management) from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. Jared is also OSHA 30 Hour-certified as well as STICCS: Focus Four Hazard-certified and is a past member of Millwright Local 1056. In his new position, Jared will manage all aspects of construction projects, including preliminary estimates, budgets, financial control, scheduling, coordination of construction activity, project close-out and owner occupancy.

Grant Daigle will be serving as one of Miron’s newest project managers. Most recently, Grant held the position of project controls engineer for TIC (The Industrial Company) in Englewood, Colo. Grant has 10 years of experience in the construction industry and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stout where he earned his Bachelor of Science in construction. In his new position, Grant will manage all aspects of construction projects, including, but not limited to, preliminary estimates, budgets, financial control, scheduling, coordination of construction activity, project close-out and owner occupancy.

Shelley Dempsey is currently serving as an on-site quality control manager on one of Miron’s projects located in South Dakota. Most recently, Shelley held the position of construction coordinator for Valero Renewables, located in Aurora, S.D. Shelley holds two degrees from South Dakota State University – a Bachelor of Science in interior design and a Master of Science in industrial management. As quality control manager, Shelley will be responsible for monitoring and documenting contractor compliance with project specifications, documenting requirements for LEED certification, and providing field support to ensure the quality and safety expectations of Miron.

Justin Metko has been hired to serve as an accounting professional. Justin previously held the position of assistant business manager for a construction company located in Washington, D.C. Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater as well as an associate degree in occupational studies and culinary arts from The Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park, N.Y.). Justin will be responsible for a variety of accounting activities including, but not limited to, prompt review and entry of invoices, check runs, proper allocation of costs and other related general accounting support duties.
