Madison, Wis. — In March of 2015, Miron Construction Co., Inc. will partner with Fischer Fischer Theis to remodel the Joint Force Headquarters building for the Wisconsin Department of Administration. The $1.1 million project is set to be completed in September of 2015. Construction will add 1,673 new square feet and remodel 2,677 existing square feet.

General construction work will consist of selective demolition of existing first and second floors with new footing, foundations, structural steel framing, concrete masonry, clay masonry walls and typical interior finishes including millwork. Exterior improvements will include landscaping, turf, site irrigation and sidewalk replacement.

To avoid extensive temporary enclosure and a longer project timeline, the project plan includes pouring foundations, erecting a new steel structure and installing a new roof before the majority of demolition work will occur.
