Miron Construction Co., Inc. was recently awarded two 2023 BUILD Wisconsin awards from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Wisconsin. Miron has been awarded 66 BUILD Wisconsin awards since the program’s inception in 2003.

Miron Construction was honored in the General Contractor – Commercial New Construction category for the ThedaCare Medical Center – Orthopedic, Spine and Pain project and General Contractor – Industrial New Construction and Renovation Greater category for the BC Organics Biogas Facility.

ThedaCare Medical Center – Orthopedic, Spine and Pain
ThedaCare Medical Center-Orthopedic, Spine and Pain, located on the Encircle Health campus in Appleton, features a medical office building, specialty surgery center, and orthopedic and spine hospital consisting of operating suites, 25 inpatient beds, and support services (imaging, lab, pharmacy, dining, etc.). Designed for operational efficiency and an exceptional patient experience, the center enhances access to specialized experts, state-of-the-art technology and equipment, and personalized care. This facility is the region’s only comprehensive health center specializing in orthopedic, spine, and pain care.

BC Organics Biogas Facility
The BC Organics Biogas Facility is a commercial biorefinery that provides 11 multi-generational area dairy farms with a more sustainable manure management practice. Utilizing 16 anaerobic digesters, the BC Organics facility processes over 960,000 gallons of manure daily, generating 1,630 MMBtu’s of renewable natural gas. Digestate is further processed to separate the fiber. The fiber is then dried, producing 135 tons per day of fiber bedding for use by participating farms. The remaining digestate liquid is further treated to produce more than 400,000 gallons per day of clean water.

Entries are judged on sustainable practices, unusual design and craftsmanship, innovation in construction techniques or materials, and meeting difficult challenges. The BUILD Wisconsin awards stand as a testament to the skill, integrity, hard work, ingenuity, and commitment invested into each construction project.
