The Ho-Chunk Nation recognized the need to reinvest in their Wisconsin gaming properties to better meet the needs of their patrons and create gaming destinations that will generate pride within the Nation, create opportunity and economic stability, and support state tourism.
Extensive exterior improvements, including façade upgrades and the addition of porte-cocheres for the various locations, expanded parking, and site upgrades will be incorporated. The design and construction will ultimately connect the projects together in order to represent the Ho-Chunk brand, incorporating unique features to connect each design to its unique location.
WISCONSIN DELLS, WI
The Wisconsin Dells project encompasses a complete renovation to the 162,000 SF casino which comprises upgrades to bingo, off-track betting, high stakes gaming areas, slot games and table games. The project also includes a substantial lobby expansion and renovation with a new main entry and vestibule situated under the porte-cochere expansion. The lobby features a backdrop of glass and sculptural elements, lounge, lobby bar and a future 5-star destination restaurant. The expansion will include a new coffee house and 4,300 SF of retail space that activates the north end of the existing feature atrium space. A 21,600 SF, three-story travel plaza will be constructed and will also house back of house operations and administrative spaces. Rounding out this project is a new spa.
BLACK RIVER FALLS, WI
The Black River Falls casino and hotel project is a five-story structure that includes a 20,000 SF casino expansion for 200 gaming positions expandable to 400 positions in the future and a new entry porte-cochere. The hotel expansion will be five floors, which includes 123 guestrooms, a fitness center, and renovated dining space.
The Wittenberg casino and hotel project is a five-story structure which includes a 16,000 SF expansion to the existing casino for 120 gaming positions, a new 86-key hotel wing with attached ground floor pool, a new three-lane entry porte-cochere, a new 400-seat (banquet style) event center, and the required back-of-house and administration spaces to support the expansion. The new hotel expansion consists of five floors which include 86 guestrooms providing a mix between standard rooms, 1.2 bay, and 2 bay suites which anchor each end of the tower. The hotel will have a fitness center as well as a ground floor pool and jacuzzi. The casino expansion will accommodate 120 new positions, new high limits, and a non-smoking gaming area. New food and beverage services will include a 9,000 SF, 46-seat steak house, a 90-seat three-meal restaurant and a new banquet kitchen.
