Project Overview

The Resch Center is the premier facility in the Brown County Veterans Memorial Complex, hosting well over 1.2 million people per year.

The 285,000 square-foot, multipurpose arena is used for concerts and sporting events, including Green Bay Gamblers hockey and University of Wisconsin-Green Bay basketball games. The arena has a seating capacity of 11,000 for concerts and 8,000-9,000 fans for sporting events.

The arena features an innovative cable-suspended steel roof framed structure, the first of its kind to be built in a secondary market like Green Bay. The intricacies of the cabling system, along with the close proximity of existing buildings, presented numerous construction challenges. Using design technology, innovative construction techniques, national arena experts, and the local workforce, the project team was able to overcome these challenges and complete the arena on schedule and within the original project budget.
