Project Overview
This new state-of-the-art building sets the stage for advancements in science and discovery and will allow the university’s world-class pharmacy education to thrive. The new building consists of a seven-story concrete framed tower and an adjacent three-story, steel-framed section. The facility contains 23 learning spaces including team rooms, classrooms, and conference rooms.
A distinctive, 128-seat Team Based Learning Center allows students to easily maneuver to collaborate within teams and easily access power. Three 220-inch projection screens are at the center and sides of the learning center.
The Pharmacy Practice Learning Center includes a Community Pharmacy, Hospital Pharmacy, and Skills Alcoves. For laboratory science research, the facility includes 16 collaborative “hybrid” research spaces that are open to each other, but still contained as individual modules by support spaces. Modules were specially designed for synthetic chemistry, biological, and other types of research.
