Drumgoon Renewable Energy
Lake Norden, South Dakota
Drumgoon Renewable Energy is a biorefinery that utilizes anaerobic digestion to convert dairy manure to renewable natural gas. The facility receives manure from an adjacent dairy where it is thickened and processed through three anaerobic digesters. The biogas from the anaerobic digesters is then upgraded via membrane separation technology to pipeline-quality renewable natural gas. The processed gas is injected via virtual pipeline into the natural gas pipeline.
