Vel Phillips Middle School
Oshkosh, Wisconsin
The new Vel Phillips Middle School is part of the Oshkosh Area School District’s multi-phase, long-range facilities plan to improve and modernize their schools and create environments that are more efficient, effective, and equitable for the community. The construction of the new 800-student middle school joins together 6-8 grade students from two smaller schools to create a unified, modern facility for all.

The media center incorporates collaborative meeting spaces for student and the community, and music wing is a haven for musicians designed to inspire creativity and foster a love for music. A learning stair provides a unique venue for study, socialization, and circulation. The classrooms feature large doors for connecting classrooms and central collaborative hub space that facilitate 21st century learning.
