Wanek Community Center at Arcadia High School

The two major elements of the addition project include athletic facilities for the School District and a community center serving the Arcadia area.

The Middle/High School athletic facilities portion of the addition includes a two-court gym, boys’ and girls’ locker rooms, additional athletic practice space, a weight room, and music storage for the District.
The Community Center and Public Library portion of the addition includes a community gym with storage, concessions, indoor run/walk track, fitness center, men’s and women’s locker rooms, exercise studio, community meeting room, adult and youth activity space, and public library.

The facility was made possible by a $12 million donation from the Ronald and Joyce Wanek Foundation, a $4 million school referendum, contributions from the city, and additional community donations.
