Project Overview

The new Falcon Center provides new indoor and outdoor spaces for the Health and Human Performance (HHP) department programs, athletics, and student recreation. The new facility was built around the existing Hunt Arena/Knowles Center with updates and enhancements to both.

The new activities complex includes classrooms, a human performance laboratory, a large gymnasium, dance studio, auxiliary gym, offices, locker rooms, training rooms, and other supporting spaces. These new spaces provide students, faculty, and staff more options during desired workout times, greater fitness/wellness opportunities for the campus community, improved player/spectator amenities, higher quality education experiences, and increased convenience for all users.

The Falcon Center project also included site improvements, expanded parking, retention ponds, a new maintenance building, updates to Ramer Field including artificial turf and new press box, track and field facilities, and construction of a new soccer field and softball stadium.
