Building Futures Through Real-World Learning
For more than 11 years, Miron has partnered with Winneconne High School’s Project Lead the Way program, helping students bring classroom learning to life through real-world experiences in design and construction. This year, that partnership reached a new level.
Three students took on an independent study to design a new elementary school for the District, a project tied to a real community need as Winneconne prepares for future growth. At the same time, Miron has been selected to provide construction management services for the future school, making the experience even more meaningful.
Students explored the full project lifecycle through site tours, discussions on the pre-referendum process, and collaboration with Miron and EUA professionals. Over the course of the year, they developed creative, forward-thinking designs that impressed even experienced industry partners. Their final presentations reflected an exceptional level of detail and professionalism, with feedback noting work comparable to college-level capstone projects.
Beyond the classroom, the impact is lasting. Many students have pursued careers in design and construction, and several have continued their journey with Miron through internships and full-time roles. At Miron, we believe investing time in students is one of the most impactful ways we can build the future. Programs like this do more than teach skills, they open doors, spark ideas, and help the next generation see what is possible.
