TOMORROW NEEDS YOU

Team Miron is proud to launch our Tomorrow Needs You video featuring our own team members. This message is rooted in what matters most at Miron – looking out for one another and saving lives, on and off the project site. Mental health impacts every crew, every role, and every family, and this video is a reminder that your presence matters more than you may realize. Take a moment to watch, reflect, and share the message in the video – because tomorrow truly needs you.

SHARED LIVED EXPERIENCE

We may feel alone, but there is more that brings us together than we think and it’s acknowledging the courage of others and sharing lived experience that is going to help us lower suicide numbers, educate others, bring awareness, and eliminate stigma of mental health within the construction industry and beyond, ultimately saving lives!

QPR TRAINING

Miron Construction is prioritizing suicide prevention by training as many Miron employees as possible to be QPR Gatekeepers, a national program whose mission is to save lives and reduce suicidal behaviors by providing innovative, practical, and proven suicide prevention training. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer – the three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Thus far, more than 500 Miron employees are trained QPR Gatekeepers.

By getting trained, you become equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize signs of distress and offer invaluable support to someone in crisis. We understand the demands and challenges of our industry, but the well-being of our team is paramount. The training sessions, held regularly over the past year, have garnered positive feedback and brought us closer as a team. Most of all, they have saved lives.

ANYONE CAN LEARN QPR
ANYONE CAN HELP SAVE A LIFE!

SUICIDE PREVENTION MONTH

September is Suicide Prevention month, and we are challenging you to Redefine TOUGH. Mental health and suicide prevention are critical issues in the construction industry, and it’s time we change the conversation.  Traditionally, “tough” in construction meant pushing through pain, staying silent, and never showing weakness. But from this point forward, Miron is redefining what it really means to be tough.

This month is a way to offer simple ways to support mental wellness and connect with others. We invite you and your team to take part in the Redefining TOUGH challenge anytime throughout the month of September or beyond. Each day will focus on one part of the TOUGH acronym with simple actions anyone can take to support mental health. Whether you’re on the project site or in the office, this challenge is a chance to shift the culture, spark real conversations, and show that being tough means taking care of yourself and those around you.

To get started, print off the challenge checklist for you or your team for an easy way to track progress, spark discussion, and stay engaged throughout the campaign. Partner this challenge with a weekly Suicide Prevention Month and Redefining TOUGH message to help motivate you to find real strength through connection, awareness, and support.
