Appleton police station refurbished by Miron Construction to open for tours

APPLETON — There’s an old elevator toward the south end of the Appleton police station that used to provide handicapped access to lower level meeting rooms used by the public. And that elevator — still functional but now replaced by a new elevator with public access from the north lobby — may be the only part of the police department that wasn’t touched during a two-year, $13 million renovation and expansion project, Sgt.
