Lambeau Field to light up with Bellevue family’s spruce for Festival of Lights
A Bellevue family is donating their tree to spruce up Lambeau Field for the holiday season.
With the help of Miron Construction, the VanBoxel family’s nearly 40-foot blue spruce will be cut down Dec. 1 and placed on Harlan Plaza.
Crews will spend the week decorating it for the 18th annual Festival of Lights at Lambeau Field on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Families can decorate cookies provided by Festival Foods and volunteers will be on hand to collect toys and donations for Toys for Tots. Families attending Festival of Lights are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys to help families in need this holiday season. There will be holiday movies and cartoons playing, holiday card making, holiday music and photo opportunities with Santa Claus.
At 6:30 p.m., the event will move out onto Harlan Plaza for the formal lighting of the tree.
