Marion Residents to Weigh In on Proposed Aquatic Facility

The Wildwood Pool in Marion opened in 1987. Since then, new pools and aquatic centers have opened all around the city of Marion, while the city’s only public swimming pool continues to become even more outdated. The city of Marion has identified a new aquatic center as a major need for a growing population. It is now asking residents to give their opinion on the proposed project.

The City of Marion has hired Water’s Edge and Miron Construction to refine and develop future plans and develop a construction document. Depending on the results of the survey, a November tax referendum vote in Marion could happen. If funding is approved, get ready to dive into a new Marion pool soon!
