Menasha community holds open house for first-of-its-kind school building

A first-of-its-kind school for the state of Wisconsin celebrated an open house and dedication on Saturday, after the passing of a recent referendum paved the way towards construction in Menasha.
For many in the Menasha community, cutting the ribbon on this nearly $100 million referendum building on Saturday morning felt needed.
“It’s gorgeous. They have so much improvement from the last school,” says Darian Danitz, a former student.
Maplewood operates as two schools, an intermediate school for grades 5 and 6, and a middle school for grades 7 and 8.
