Miron Construction Executives Attend Green Build in Chicago
Nov. 18, 2010 – Neenah, Wis. – Miron Construction Co., Inc. is excited about the opportunity to attend this year’s Green Build conference this week in Chicago.
“Not only is this a great opportunity for us as team to network and learn from some of the leaders in the industry on a global scale, but we’re also excited to be able to share our knowledge and the experience we have as leaders in the world of sustainable construction,” said Corey Brumbaugh, LEED AP, BD+C, vice president of business development for Miron.
Brumbaugh is accompanied at the conference by Miron’s Director of Sustainable Services, Theresa Lehman, LEED Faculty, who taught a class on behalf of the U.S. Green Building Council on Core Concepts and Strategies of Green Construction.
“At Miron, we’re committed to sustainability and the idea that sustainable design and construction is not only good for the health and well-being of the building occupants and for the environment, but makes economic sense as well,” said Lehman. “We’re excited to represent Wisconsin as an innovator in the world of sustainable construction.”
On December 4th and 5th Miron’s team will be heading to the World Climate Summit in Mexico to represent the United States in discussions about accelerating solutions to climate change. When they return, Miron will host the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council’s annual conference on December 8th at their state-of-the-art, newly-constructed headquarters in Neenah, a facility for which they are seeking LEED certification.
The conference is the manifestation of Wisconsin’s need for a collaborative group for businesses in the sustainability arena and is the only conference in Wisconsin designed specifically for direct business-to-business sharing of sustainable methods and techniques.
