Posted by Miron Construction

Three Miron Construction Co., Inc. employees have been named Newsmakers of the Year by The Daily Reporter. The Daily Reporter annually recognizes people, companies, or organizations that led Wisconsin’s construction and design industry in a positive direction as Newsmakers of Year. Below are excerpts from each award submission.

Business Analyst of the Year – Stacy Laux, Business Analyst
“She’s the one who everyone looks to as an example of how things should be,” is how team members describe Stacy Laux, who has defined what it means to be a Business Analyst at Miron. Stacy’s job is to make sure every department she works with understands what is going on when it comes to the technology and data being used in a project. She communicates with all stakeholders and ensures they have a seat at the table and understand the details of a project, the necessary changes, and how the team is going to get to the finish. In her four years at Miron, she has earned the trust, respect, and appreciation of many people from nearly every department.

Educator of the Year – Dawn Grenzer-Stumpf, Educational Engagement Manager
In an industry where outreach has often stopped at brochures and booth trinkets, Dawn Grenzer-Stumpf has redefined engagement, testing new ideas to help students envision what a future in construction could look like. Through hands-on career fairs, project site tours, and immersive showcases, Dawn ensures students don’t just hear about opportunities, they encounter them firsthand. Dawn’s responsibilities go beyond student engagement. She also focuses on educating the educators, school counselors, tech ed teachers, and administrators about the wide range of professions available at Miron.

Sustainability Specialist of the Year – Theresa Lehman, Director, Sustainable Services
As the director of sustainable services for Miron for 17 years, Theresa Lehman’s role is to inspire sustainability throughout Miron’s culture, integrate sustainability into its business practices and construction operations, lead the building green education program, support clients in establishing their sustainable goals, and serve as the environmental and sustainability lead within project teams to create healthy, high-performing built environments with Miron’s partners. Theresa’s active involvement in sustainability organizations and initiatives, long list of credentials, and extensive experience within the construction industry is certainly impressive, but it’s the passion and deep knowledge she brings to each project that’s the most inspiring.
