Project Overview
Miron was responsible for the construction of a 73,000 square-foot plant addition. Construction was completed using masonry, precast concrete, and insulated metal panels. The plant expansion consisted of a new production area, 1,535-ton ammonia refrigeration plant, low temperature blast freezer, and loading docks. Miron installed two spiral ovens, two spiral freezers, one infrared oven, one linear oven, stuff/grind equipment, and all conveyors/packaging equipment. Two building air handling units were also rigged and installed on the roof of the addition.
Phase II included construction of another 85,102 square-foot plant addition. Construction was completed using masonry, precast concrete, and insulated metal panels. The plant expansion consisted of a new production area, an 836-ton ammonia refrigeration plant, a -10 degree freezer, a cooler, a mixing and stuffing room, linear and spiral ovens, a boiler room, and new loading docks. Miron provided material unloading and handling for two spiral freezers, one infrared oven, one linear oven, the stuff/grind equipment, and all conveyors/packaging equipment. In addition, Miron installed all stuffing and grinding equipment necessary for the new addition. Four building air handling units were also rigged and installed on the roof of the addition.
Miron also built a 72,000 square-foot distribution and process building for Abbyland Foods’ Curtiss, WI operations.
