Whether you’re a kid or just a kid at heart, the second annual Fox Cities Kidz Expo was the place to be this past April! Miron Construction was pleased to be the presenting sponsor of this free, family event filled with fun, education, and adventure. The event was organized by the Fox Cities Kiwanis Club, and held at the new Fox Cities Exhibition Center in Appleton, Wisconsin. Despite Blizzard Evelyn – the historic winter storm that dumped more than two feet of snow in the area that same weekend – more than 1,500 people came out to partake in the fun!
Miron was one of more than 60 exhibitors to offer an interactive experience to event-goers. At our booth, kids had the opportunity to play Construct’Em, where they tested their skills of dexterity and decision-making in a competition to build a tower as high as possible without tipping it over. In addition to activities, main stage entertainment – including performances in music, dance, science, culture, and athletics – kept the atmosphere lively.
More than $10,000 was raised in sponsorship dollars, with all proceeds being distributed to area non-profits that were integral in making the event successful. These included the Fox Cities Kiwanis Club (in support of their youth programs), The Building for Kids Children’s Museum, the YMCA of the Fox Cities, the Wisconsin Army Cadets, Best Friends of Neenah-Menasha, and WisconSibs.
Mark your calendars! The third annual Fox Cities Kidz Expo will take place Saturday, April 6, 2019, at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center in Appleton!
