Miron’s Wrapped in Love Campaign
At Miron, we exist to serve the Communities in which we live and work, giving back whenever and wherever we can.
Miron’s Volunteer Program (MVP) seeks to motivate and enable our employees to effectively serve community needs. This allows individuals to personally live out Miron’s driver of Community. One new way the MVP committee decided to connect employees to their communities is by hosting a diaper donation drive benefiting Jake’s Diapers, a local organization that strives to solve diaper needs for infants, the elderly, and those with special needs, empowering them to pursue a higher quality of life.
1 in 3 parents struggle to provide diapers for their baby. In response to this heartbreaking statistic, our diaper drive, affectionately known as the Wrapped in Love campaign, runs from February 14, 2019 through February 28, 2019, culminating in an internal packing event in March. We are collecting monetary donations as well as disposable and cloth diapers. All money raised will be used to purchase diapers, which will be packed and donated to Jake’s Diapers.
In an effort to connect with our neighbors and bring in additional donations, we asked some surrounding businesses to assist us in supporting our community. We are excited to share that Essity, Evergreen Credit Union, Fox Crossing Fire Rescue, Kurz Industrial Solutions, St. James Lounge, Wisconsin Institute of Urology, WOW Logistics, and XE54 are all partnering with us on this great cause!
Post-Campaign Update:
At the beginning of March, a group of Miron employees volunteered to count and repackage all the donations collected during the Wrapped in Love campaign. Miron employees contributed more than 9,000 diapers, and collectively with the other participating businesses, we donated 14,547 diapers (as well as 504 wipes and 69 changing pads) to Jake’s Diapers. These contributions will help 300 families in our community.
