The shipyard celebrated Tuesday the halfway-to-completion point of Building 34. The building will house the construction of Constellation-Class Frigates and is expected to be finished this Spring.

Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM) CEO Mark Vandroff, Miron Project Executive Kurt Wolfgram, U.S. Navy Deputy Program Manager’s Representative for the Constellation-Class Frigate Mike Galecki and City of Marinette Mayor Steve Genisot as well as employees and community members were present for the ceremony.

FMM, Miron Construction and GRAEF are collaborating on the construction of the building. Standing at 130 feet high with 180,000 square feet, large enough to house two Constellation-Class Frigates at once or two football fields and a marching band in between, the structure will be the largest building in the City of Marinette.
