Green Bay Country Club renovations promise to boost local economy

An area country club expansion is promising a wider economic impact for Northeast Wisconsin.

The Green Bay Country Club broke ground on its $7.5 million renovation plan Thursday.

According to the director of membership, the renovations will have positive effects on the local economy.

“Fifty percent of our incoming members in 2021 have moved to the area within the past two years,” said Cathy Zehms, director of membership and marketing at the Green Bay Country Club. “Every week, people considering a move to Green Bay–sometimes even before they have applied for a position—reach out to see if there is a country club in the area that meets or exceeds their standards. A country club of our caliber is important in the recruitment of high-level talent to our area.”
