Greenville Middle School breaks ground on $21 million expansion project
Greenville Middle School broke ground on its $21 million expansion project Wednesday morning to the sound of the school band playing the school song, while surrounded by a dozen students and other faculty and staff.
The expansion will include additional classrooms, a bigger cafeteria, commons area and library, and more space for parking and parent drop-off locations. The middle school saw a 30% increase in its number of students over the last four years, prompting the need for more space.
On April 6, 65% of Hortonville Area School District voters voted in favor of a $41 million referendum for middle and high school facility upgrades. The middle school’s $21 million expansion will be done in collaboration with Miron Construction Co., Inc and Blue Design Group, LLC and is set to be completed by the start of the next school year.
