Latest Lambeau Field renovations nearly done
A $146 million renovation and expansion project at Lambeau Field is nearly complete.
There are new video boards, sound system, suites, viewing platforms as well as 7,000 new seats and 30 new concession stands.
“It’s definitely in the homestretch,” said Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey. “Things have come into their focus here, very very nicely and from the drawing board to seeing it come together is very, very exciting for the organization.”
About 105,000 people were on the wait list for season tickets before the Packers started selling the new seats. Of the more than 5,000 people offered tickets, about 3,800 accepted them, Popkey said. He said 1,500 existing ticket holders chose to move to the new south end zone, which is general seating.
