The Building Trades class at Menasha High School tried its hand at laying concrete block, brick and stone veneer with the help of professional masons.
Joe Buechel of Natural Stone Veneers International in Fond du Lac helped organize the two-week unit, which brought industry professionals from the Wisconsin Masonry Alliance to the high school to teach students the ropes of masonry. Participants included the Boldt Company, Miron Construction, Spec Mix, County Materials and the Bricklayers and Allied Crafters union.
