A local company will build an amphitheater in Jones Park in downtown Appleton, and donate it to the city. Miron Construction announced the $1 million gift for the company’s 100th anniversary.

CEO Dave Voss says he came up with the idea after looking at the design for the park with Mayor Tim Hanna. He says the drawings included a location for a future amphitheater, and he asked Hanna about it. Voss says the mayor told him the city didn’t have enough money to build it right away. Read more …
