World Dairy Expo officials and dairy cattle exhibitors were thrilled with the two new pavilions at the Alliant Energy Center as the premier dairy show opened in Madison on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

“People I’ve talked to are just ecstatic about the new buildings,” said Mark Clarke, executive director of the Alliant Energy Center (and former general manager of World Dairy Expo) following a ribbon cutting for the new facilities.

“The last 48 hours were stressful,” he added. “Literally paint was still wet when the first of the cows arrived, but now that the show has started everybody’s really happy with it.”
