New facility to convert manure into natural gas

BC Organics broke ground Thursday on its new facility in Greenleaf.
The new plant will be a 16-unit anaerobic digestion facility. That’s a process through which bacteria breaks down organic matter. It will convert manure from dairy farms into natural gas that can be used as an energy source.
The new facility is expected to be completed and fully operational in about 18 months.
