New School Wows LMASD Board Members

Construction on the new Lake Mills elementary school is coming along nicely. As the weather warms up, construction crews will be able to catch up on the work that needs to still be completed on the outside of the building.

Monday afternoon, Lake Mills Area School District Board members and other officials were given a tour of the new facility.

While the building still has a long way to go before its ready, board president Rick Mason said he walked away in awe of what he saw on the inside of the structure.

“It’ll be a showcase for southern Wisconsin. I think we’re going to have people visit the school from all over the place,” Mason said. “It’s a 21st century building.”

Miron Construction General Superintendent Jay Kuhlman gave the tour to the school officials.
