Outagamie Co. sells Fox Cities campus to Winnebago, Weis Earth Science Museum moving to History Museum at the Castle

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – The Outagamie County Board approves a resolution to sell the UW-Oshkosh Fox Cities campus to Winnebago County for one dollar.
In the agreement between county leaders, Winnebago County will decide what the future of the campus is and will continue public operation of the property for two years.

Miron Construction will help relocate the Weis, the museum stated, as an in-kind donor as will a tourism development grant from the Fox Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau. Plans for collaborations with Lawrence University are underway, and the History Museum is working with the Weis Museum’s staff to coordinate the move.
