Redefining toughness: Construction crews hold nationwide stand-down against suicide

Construction workers on the job on Monday across the country, and right here in northeast Wisconsin, took a time out to pause and reflect, in recognition of National Suicide Awareness Month.
Dozens of people on each project site participated in a moment of silence honoring suicide victims and reflect on their own well-being.
According to the CDC, construction has the highest suicide rate of all industries. Workers in this profession have a suicide rate five times higher than the national average.
